About Phil Castro
Entrepreneur, advisor, angel investor, GTM strategist, and Founder & CEO of Kamp. Phil is a 20-year startup and VC veteran who started his career at the venture capital firm Lightbank, which incubated dozens of unicorns including Groupon, Uptake, and Tempus.
In his late 20s he built two multi-million-dollar businesses in consulting and events, then launched the hospitality tech startup BarPass, winning awards including “Startup of the Year”, “Young Leaders in Tech”, and “35 Under 35”.
After Covid, Phil founded Kamp, now one of the most prominent startup and VC communities in North America: 9,000+ entrepreneurs helped, $24M raised for founders, and regular guest speakers from unicorn startups. Phil plans to scale Kamp to $100M ARR by 2030.
